Engine to use for a D for everyday use? - BELFAST BOY #1458 - 05 Aug 2008

I would go for BMW 335D engine, and seriously uprate the brakes Shock

I'm very happy with my turbo PRV. Much easier to do since it works with the existing transaxle.

The stock brakes work great (if they are in good/new condition) with stainless hoses, redstuff pads and decent fluid. I also have a 50/50 master cylinder on mine but I'm not sure how much difference that makes. There is only so much grip you can get out of the small front tyres anyway.

I'd bung a nice torquey older diesel engine in and run it on cooking oil! Big Grin

true Rob, but if i was to use a D every Day I would maybe use non stock wheels, or the bigger dutch ones (16&17")

By the way there is a great thunder and lightning storm outside, might have to go and take a cruise down Oxted High street

I need to harness the power.!!! Big Grin
