Still trying to convince him to put a PRV in an esprit, but no luck so far.

Oh by the way Mr Hawes's picture is from Silent Running I Think. It's one of 3 robots, Huey, Dewey, and Louie that looked after a space ark called the Valley Forge along with 3 crew. Great film

My Avatar is............... - Chris Hawes - 28 Nov 2006

And the prize goes to Mr Daniel Shane!

The avatar is a photograph I took of a model I built 12 years ago. The model is still in one piece which was based loosely on one of the 'drones' as seen in the movie.

Oh look, the guy who built this drone also built a DeLorean which you can see behind it. This man has fine taste!

R2D2 came after this film by a further 6 years... so Lucas was not the first with a little droid/robot/drone with personality...

Oh, and Douglas Trumbull (who worked on 2001 - A Space Odessey (1968) and Bladerunner (1982)) worked on this movie too!

- stunned_monkey - 28 Nov 2006

I remember the film. They all die except for one of the robots. Crap photo.

Hi

To those who wanted the epoxy, i have now found suitable containers for the black pigment so I can start sending it out over the next couple of days.

Coolio, I'll get a cheque off to you Smile

Thats another job to keep me amused over winter, along with changing the sump on the Rapier and doing some interior fettling of the interior plus taking bits off the scrap Cavalier
