should be fit and forget.
you should get some more power out of the engine because there is no back pressure caused by the small bore monolith in teh catalytic converter.
you could always check our fuel mixture at a garage to double check.
disconnect oxygen sensor, set fuel mixture to 1 to 1.5% CO at idle
reconnect oxygen sensor, level should be about 1% or less
rough guide but it could save fuel if too rich.
