sad to see her up for sale Chris, as I said before, I hope she finds the right home.
Thanks Chris...

I have been using the car very spareingly, (now at 23k miles) mostly due to having little free time.  But yesterday I took AXI 1699 for a little trip to our local park for a photo shoot. Everything you see is completely origanal and un-disturbed...appart from re-covering the  headliners and re-painting the faded, black euro-spec rear light surrounds. (plus obviously new tyres, fuel lines etc on the engine)

We also had time for a quick video ....I hope you like it.

See  you all the NEC in November22  (where hopefully she will find a new custodian)

an absolutely awesome video Chris P, shows the car off well. i'll be sure to put it into the playlist of AXI 1699.

Dodgy gives me an idea for my car though.

I'd never noticed the different front grille on this car before
There are numerous features unique to the AXI cars, The small round side indicator repeaters, The grill is a genuine one-off on this car, the Headlight trims were only on AXI 1697 and AXI 1699..(but I did re-trofit them the 98.) The roof antennas are unique to the three AXI ars, As are I believe, the twin brake servo's..etc etc. The 3 cars had the black f/glass trim suounds made by William (Bill) Towns, but the purchasing department went on to copy some for other RHD cars. You can easily identify the originals and the copy's by their fixings.  Bill Towns were hidden fixings , similar to the ones folding the grill on.....The copies have Phillips  screws on view.

These were the main reason I wanted this car....I just didn't think it would take 30 years to find it!
Amazing Chris, thanks for the info.
