the word "greedy" springs to mind....
I’ve been following this one on eBay.
Something very strange with it.....
It started as an eBay ad for £46,500.
That ended and it reappeared as a reserve auction which ended unsold, but reached £37,000.
Then it was relisted again as a reserve auction and ended in a successful auction at just over £36,000
And now re-listed again as an advert for £46,500 ....... hmmmm
It certinally seems odd that it keeps going through both EBay and traditional auctions with either not selling or the buyer backs out.
Chris
It's back for maybe the 4th or 5th auction....

It is a lovely one, but the price scares me, especially as I am actively looking to purchase this year.......
I even contacted them and asked what they'd realistically take (so at least if it was viable I'd not waste a trip to have a haggle)
But they are stuck with the 39,995 price tag, don't want to negotiate. They say it's worth the 45,000 valuation. So i'm stumped on this one.
Apparently the other auctions fell through and the winning bidders didn't contact them.
The auction at historics.co.uk that Chris listed at the start of this thread, where it sold at 26,000...... they didn't comment on at all.
I know profits need to be made and all. But I just don't feel this is a fair price. £35k... maybe?
But good luck to them, hope they get the price they want.
Dealers try and get as much as possible...26 was a good price, but not 30+...IMO
Just wanted to update this thread in case someone did indeed want to buy...
They contacted me out of the blue to say they would take £37,000 (still too much for me)
But perhaps more important is that the car is not in the U.K.
It is in fact, in Spain. Palma to be exact....
So there’s be no chance to inspect it unless you took a flight....
To be fair he said he could get it back over here in 10 days.......
Make of that what you will.....
