The DeLorean in BTTF P1 had this number plate

3CZV657

apparently.
I could be wrong, but im sure they used more than one car? Or do you mean in the Twin Pines Mall sequence? - that Chris Hawes's car is 5 or 6 vin numbers away from?

You are right, they used about 8 throughout the trilogy. The first car is the one I'm talking about :o
Does anyone have conformation that the one on display it the Cornish Goldsmiths is genuine? I was lucy enough to spend a good day checking that car out with a guy who was doing work on it and didnt have a clue. This was in Jersey, where I believe the owner still live, simply bought it to make money renting it out.

If its not genuine its a bloody good copy, everything and I mean EVERYTHING in it worked time circuit wise. Even had the original plutonium tube! I'll dig out the pics cause I had the VIN written down. This was the one from the first scene by the way - No Mr F or hook mods.

Do we know what vins were used?

Cheers

The above vin list is out of date and still shows the car and I based in High Wycombe (left there April 2005).

Here is my car (under the grey car cover) in High Wycombe (HP11 1RN) as it was in 2004 (still on Google Earth)

The vin list states that vin 5261 was the mall car (pre Mr Fusion) and mentions something about Dealer vin 5163 :?:

All the film cars had the pleated/grooved bonnets and with the spec being silver wheeled, grey interiored manuals would suggest mid to late 1981 cars...
