Looks too good to be true……...
Nah, the usual needs-a-lot-to-make-reliable IMO. Also no UK plates, wonder if all the paperwork is present?
Give it a go Matt, I'm in France in 2 weeks. Mind you, the last car I bought from there had a blown engine!
Chris, where will you be in France?
we'll be there in 3 weeks, we're going to Saumur in the Loire
If someday someone is going near Grenoble, let me know
It's actually 5188, not that it makes a difference.
Was for sale in the US a couple of years ago, firstly asking $50k, then $40k and finally $30k. Don't know what it went for in the end. These pictures are the same ones from 2011
We are going to France a week on Sunday, for 10 days, via train then river boat ill let you know more details tomorrow. need to re-check them anyway.
Just out of interest emailed the ad on Saturday to find out location but as yet no reply.
Never heard a bickie bird back from this listing even though it is still on Classic Cars for sale, so I'm thinking "To good to be true"?????
Perhaps?? maybe when someone is over in France they could try making contact?
Chris
I've tried getting in touch too, but to no avail
Perhaps a reality check as this would appear to be a dubious listing on car and classic. I eventually received an email from this cap who said the car was in Preston, I then pushed him for more details on the car but he was very vague and said the car had been left to him by his Grandad, I asked if it was possible to view the car in Preston and his reply was it was now in the hands of a shipping company and he would get back to me, not heard anything since. Was on the Land Rover site the other day and a similar situation occurred with a series 1 Landy.
