Hard to say without the VIN number?
Interesting find, be good to know if it's a newly re-imported car or a UK registered one?
Thanks for posting this up Smile
Chris
I think you are right Stuart, though it's moved from Leeds to Scotland. I wonder did teh CO buy it "for promo purposes" and then change his/her mind?
Defo the same car, maybe it was used for one event or just flipping it, good luck to them. But for that money it needs to be mint.
Mmm. Early car (LED clock), grooves, black interior, manual, thin stripe....... go to love that...worth more with the gas flap obviously...

I've spoken to the chap selling it, and from what I gather, he bought it a while back in Birmingham, sold it to someone local who owned a property development company with a similar name to delorean, who then sold it back to the chap who is currently selling it. He's going to call me back with some more info tomorrow so I'll see if I can get the vin and mileage and post back, do you all think it's worth the money? I'm tempted to take a punt, but I know sweet f.a. about deloreans other than the fact that I've wanted one for the past 20 or so years.
As mentioned in the other post, yes. So long as the condition is all OK.
Chris
I think like Stuart this was the ebay one that was on for a while at either £21k or £22k, if it is the samr chap who was selling it had my SS exhaust off me and the garage who fitted it had a game putting it on and fitted it too close to the rear bumper and melted the surround, if it is the one it was on ebay for a few months and never sold to the best of my knowledge so Borders Rivers may have bought it off him. This garage sell some nice motors but the prices go with them. Was tempted to go over and have a look as it's only about 40 miles from me.
I've just got some info from the guy selling it, it definitely came from a chap in Birmingham who is apparently a bit of a us car nut and imported it from the states, it has had a stainless new exhaust in the last year, and the last mot showed 28,500 on the clock. He's sent me the reg and vin if that helps anyone identify it, here's what he sent me:

HVY 202X
SCEDT26T9BD003941.

I don't know which part of the vin you guys use so I thought I'd plonk on the whole lot

Detective hat on, the car was owned by Mike Wild of MS Automotive (from ebay ad) in Leeds.
He was complaining the SS exhaust wasn't fitting correctly but the exhausts are all the same...
Car may have changed hands a couple of times who knows.

Few reasons its not mint, ding on rear quarter, bumper colour too light, original coolant bottle looks old ready to pop, gear shift boot untidy...getting a bit picky now Mr Green Negotiate by pointing out the above and you will have a very nice car...
Fingers crosssed for your purchase schmarnst. I havent seen the car but if you purchase it would great to have another member/ Delorean near to me. Big Grin
Something strange as the Guy who had it definitely came from Leeds unless he then sold it to someone in Birmingham and now in Scotland so Stuart is right changed hands a few times over the last 6 months wonder why? go and see it and take a close look at the rear bumper where the exhaust tailpipes come out, can't tell on the photo but the bumper does look a little wavy at the rear. Suppose it all depends how much Borderrivers paid for it to what price you can get it for.
Don't know if this one is still for sale, nice car a little dearer but been up for sale for a while so may be able to get it for a good price?
