Was the 7123 plate on display at a US DCS show?
7123 is/was Pilot 24, and was destroyed by fire?

No Photographic Evidence as of yet
The Reg Designation seems very random, later Reg's on early VINs etc.

I imaging some lowly paid assistant being dispatched to the DVLA with a sheaf of application papers in no particular order. He/she was probably handed them neatly in VIN order, but dropped them on the bus on the way into town.
I'm sure I read some where Stirling Moss commenting on the DeLoreans gull wing doors being a pain to close because he said something along the lines of "being an ape to reach up high to the door pull and I'm not a ape "-I think it was at a car show sometime back.
