Hi to all,

I know this is probably a long shot I was wondering if any one has a DeLorean to hire for the 28th September 2013. Looking at a previous message left by another bride to be it would be the same request I know my fiancé would be absolutely over the moon if he was picked up in a DeLorean and taken to the church. I'm getting married in chapel-en-le-frith Derbyshire at 12 and then to Buxton.

We would probably need to hire for at least four hours

Thanks

Lindsey
I have popped Lindsay a quick message across as I'm quite close to that location.
I *might* be able to cover it if you cant Luke, depends if I'm back driving by then (depending
on whether I have to have a C-Section when new baby is due)

No worries Claire. I'll give you a shout if need be Smile

p.s. Ouch. Hopefully all goes well naturally, even then....ouch
I'm thinking the C-Sec might be the lesser of the two evils for getting this one out, took me over
6 months to recover from the forceps delivery I had with Kezia Sad
Thanks for the swift replies, and I am interested in hiring your Delorean but I think Steven would prefer a Delorean without all the BTTF kit on it. Although Steven is obsessed with the BTTF I think its more the car than the film. (we once followed a Delorean on a camping trip to wales for an hour in the opposite direction because he could believe he had seen one being driven)

I need to subtly ask him which one he would prefer without ruining the surprise, I will keep you all posted

Thanks again

Lindsey
No problem at all. You have the support of both guises here whenever you're ready! Smile
Thanks

I managed to ask Steven which one he would prefer and definitely the car all about the car. So if anyone has a DeLorean available for hire on the 28th September in the Derbyshire/north west area please let me know

Thanks for all your help Luke and Claire Big Grin
No worries. I'm the closest to you with a time machine so drop me a line if he decides otherwise!
ok, well I'll pencil you in for Sept 28th, I'll be back driving by then as baby due in mid
July and worse case scenario I'll only be out of action until end of August.

Mine is the car with the 'VUR' registration in this thread viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3333
'Sorbet' is owned by my other half. If I cant do the wedding, I'm sure Phill will with 'Sorbet'.
well I've checked my route for tomorrow, and it looks like I'm gonna take in some fabulous
Peak District scenery, including Snake Pass, Glossop, Chapel en le Frith and Buxton, so I'll
be sure to try and get some pics and post them on here Big Grin

Absolutely knakered tho, spent most of the day cleaning the car, as its been laid up since
a couple of days before I gave birth to Gwen 10wks ago
some pics from today, including being helped out by the RAC (sorry Chris W) who came out within 10 minutes
to replace Flopsy's battery after it died on me - luckilly the groom saw the funny side and figured it was like
being in the film when the De dies - although I didnt head butt the steering wheel aka Marty Mc Fly lol

Steve is really keen on getting a DeLorean, its his dream car, and he's promised to come to some events and
eventually get a De of his own - Flopsy's battery giving out obviously didnt put him off !!!

PS - apologies for pics being in reverse order...... (note, can a Mod/Admin fix it so that pics are shown in the
order they were uploaded?)

Wash your mouth out with soap and water  Nice touch with the VW did it come with Libyans as well?
Nice pics Claire. Looking nice and clean Smile

Was it just an old battery or the alternator not generating enough?
Battery was FUBAR Luke, been on the car a few years tho so needed replacing as
it kept going flat after the car had been parked for a few days. Alternator was
replaced a couple of years ago and has been checked and is working fine.

New battery came with a 5yr guarantee, so impressed with that - plus the fantastic
service from the RAC ( Wink Chris), it was less then 20 mins between phoning them and
the new battery being on the car Big Grin Chris, the VW Splitty came fully loaded with
bridesmaids, not Libyans Wink
