car starts perfect when cold, as soon as its warm you have to turn it over around 3 to 6 times and finally fires up, did the cold start wire swap and it starts so I purchased the fuel accumulator at great expense and fitted that and its still the same! also changed the fuel tank piping, runs perfect when it starts, please help before I lose my rag and put it up for sale!
Have you tried this? http://www.specialtauto.com/delorean-pa ... g-plun.jpg

Worked on my old car and seems to be the other hot start issue problem solver!
Is it the correct part and how old is the accumulator you fitted?
Chris
thanks chris, pulled it out this morning and the o-ring was in 3 pieces so was thinking I had solved it, new o-ring, put it together warmed up, problem still there! got the accumulator new from dmc Europe, someone has bridged the cold start and theres a button in the console! so its been a long ongoing issue, getting embarrassing now when you have a crowd round it.....

I had a starting problem with mine years ago, again when a crowd was round it embarrassingly,
it was poor crimps on the ballast resistor connections. We cleaned them up, and re-crimped the
connectors, and all was ok.
All a bit odd really :? I would make sure your using the correct 'O' ring in the metering head as I think they need to be spot on to cure the hot start issues. The only other thing with most car issues is to work backwards and remove all the stuff thats been put on that should not be there. Whats the button doing then? keeping the cold start valve open to chuck more fuel in?
IIRC is there not a check valve in the fuel pump that can fail as well?
Chris
