i thought i would pop a post up on here to see what you knowledgeable people can advise Wink

so i can see there are choices for replacement shocks and springs, but does any one already offer a full coilover kit?

ive had a look at the front and the set up looks a bit complex in regards to coilover fitment

any help advice would be great!

thanks

Dan
while browsing i found these pics, this set up looks ideal, any one got any ideas on what it is?

Never seen those front ones before, though they do look like coilovers I cant see the need and I guess as no one (that I have seen) sells them then they cant be that popular!
Chris
its just having that option to fettle the ride height, my VW roots kicking in a little and needing that perfect stance.

It was the first thing i noticed with the delorean how bad peoples ride height looks
the standard US ride height is way too high, and you end up pointing at the sky
under acceleration.

I'm still using some of the springs that Chris Parnham had made many years ago,
they've been on my car for nearly 10yrs now and I've had no problems, and the car
does sit nice and low at the front, but not overly low making the tyres rub on the
arches during cornering.

Interestingly, we spoke to a "DeLorean Specialist" (wont name names) a couple of
years ago whilst getting #6772 refurbished, and we asked him about investing in a
set of 'Spax' shocks. He said that in his opinion, having fitted and used them in addition
to fitting and using cars with standard shocks, he couldnt tell the difference, and
advised us not to buy then.
do you have any pictures to hand? i did actually pick some springs up off chris many months ago.

Yeah the world of suspension is a bit of a guessing game as before you buy you really have no idea what quality you are buying, i normally find if it is cheap, it will be rubbish.

i know a couple of suppliers who i mentioned it to and they said they could do me a full coilover kit, just need to get a few bits to them.

i will see how i get on with them!
I'll nip outside when it stops raining and get some piccies for you (car on the drive).
My D too has a set of Chris's front springs fitted for several years now.

A couple of pictures that someone took at NEC last year (I found 'em by accident!)
