Hi Darren
Hagertys did say that cars had to be garaged at night (but not at my home address) that was the only stipulation.
just wondered why they said that, as with mine you cannot get much more rare than my SVR (only 65 ever produced, and only mine is the SVR prototype, which they acknowledged)
seems odd

One of 65!!!!
One of my cars is 1 of only TWO made,
Another is 1 of THREE ever made.
And the more common one they worried about is 1 of SEVEN made.
The one thats really common as muck is No 1 of 75 made.
So I suppose you were a walk in the park to them

Darren C Wrote:Hi,
I also saw Hagerty at the NEC... they refused to insure me
Said my cars were too rare and of too great a value.
So renewed with Richard Hoskins again.. they cant be beat.. Delorean was same as last year under £100 fully comp with all the whistles and bells.
I'd be wary of Hagerty's, what insurance company have you heard of that worry about an insurance payout, so won't insure you
Has anyone made a claim with them?
Hi Darren i think they where prob being polite they where prob thinking you where just to old and couldn't handle the speed...LOL...you know i am only jokeing. Tyson

Worth noting that Footman James have taken over AON and they have added some bonuses to their cover.
28y/o male no claims/accidents/points kept in locked garage
-Fully comp agreed value £18,000
-Unlimited mileage cover
-Occasional commuting to and from place of work
There's loads of other stuff too but the commuting to and from work is an added bonus as Jane sometimes uses the car that we share when I am working weekends.
Total Cost £230 just thought you might like to know

Footman James were the company doing the Club's PLI, but I had a letter from AON saying
that they had taken FJ over.
Either way, it seems that Footman James and AON are now under the same umbrella so to speak.

this is getting better and better! any 'advance' on £143?
Daft really, that these are cheaper to insure then most mundane runarounds - not
that any of us are complaining of course!

Just had my premium come through from Richard Hoskins - £210! *sigh*
Balls! Any tips on how I get them down???
I'm 30, so thought that would be in my favour, car currently valued at 17k., no accidents/claims...
Help!
Thanks
Best wishes

£210's not bad Carl - most of my quotes were £300+, I only had a couple I think around £200 or less, and I'm paying £195 now. Darren's getting his super cheap because (a) he's old, (b) he's got about 8 cars insured with the same company and © they're kept in Fort Knox.
Is Alex insured on your D? Makes no difference on some policies but I couldn't take the cheapest one I was offered because they wouldn't insure the gf...
Have you had a quote from Bishop Calway who I'm insured with?
